Home Adaptation Grants for Disabled Veterans
-
According to researchers at Harvard University, in studies funded by the Department of Defense and National Institute of Health, Veterans are twice as likely to die of ALS than people who have not served in the armed forces. This hard truth remains regardless of the era in which they served, branch of service, and whether or not they served during peacetime or wartime. As long as a veteran served for 90 consecutive days at any point prior to the development of ALS, the Department of Veterans Affairs presumes service connection to the disease and grants a 100% disability rating for the Veteran. Wheel Pad L3C is dedicated to help all Veterans with ALS in need of home adaptation.
