WheelPad Buyback Commitment

When a family engages in the process of caring for a loved one who has recently become or is soon to be mobility-challenged, there are many difficult decisions to make. WheelPad’s aim is to make those decisions easier by providing an answer for one question: Can we remain in our own homes even if they are not universally accessible? Yes! WheelPad can make nearly any building a safe and cozy place for people with mobility challenges! 

We also understand the need for flexibility. Making our process seamless is as important as having a product that makes life easier. We are constantly searching for ways to improve our process; thus we have developed a new WheelPad program—our Buyback Commitment! 

With each WheelPad unit purchase, we commit, with limited restrictions*, to buy the unit back. Why would any company in their right mind want to buy their own product back? Simple: We are in the business of making lives easier, and we want every WheelPad unit doing just that. When your WheelPad unit is done serving you, we want it to go on to serve the next family, if appropriate. 

The Buyback Process:

1. Contact WheelPad to let us know you want to resell your unit. 

2. WheelPad will send out, at our cost, a person to appraise the value of your WheelPAD unit.

3. You and WheelPad will come to a mutual agreement on the value of your WheelPAD unit.

4. At your cost, a contractor hired by you disconnects the WheelPAD unit from your home (utilities, foundation, etc.).

5. Once WheelPad verifies that the WheelPAD unit has been disconnected, is vacant and accessible for removal, we will send you a check for 50% of the agreed price.

6. WheelPad arrives to truck the WheelPAD unit to a new home at our cost and leaves you with a check for the remaining 50% of the agreed price.

Simply put: We want to make financing your WheelPad easier, so you can keep your focus where it matters most.  

* The buyback commitment applies only to Temporary or Helical Pier Installations. WheelPAD units installed on permanent concrete foundations cannot be reclaimed.  WheelPad L3C’s commitment to repurchase WheelPAD units is contingent on (i) the determination of the value of the WheelPAD, (ii) the conveyance of good and valid title to the WheelPAD unit, free and clear of all liens in favor of any lender, mortgagee, or other third party, and (iii) the WheelPAD unit remaining in substantially the same condition as it was during the appraisal, reasonable wear and tear excepted.  WheelPad L3C does not guarantee the best buyback price for your WheelPAD unit—the price may take into account several factors, including the used nature of the WheelPAD unit, and is subject to the sole discretion of the person conducting the appraisal.  You may receive a better price from a third-party buyer.  WheelPad L3C may require evidence of good and valid title to the WheelPAD unit as part of the buyback process.  You are obligated to continue to insure your WheelPAD unit until WheelPad L3C receives the WheelPAD unit for transport, and risk of loss shall not pass to WheelPad L3C until such date of transport.  In the event that, after the appraisal but prior to WheelPad L3C’s receipt of the WheelPAD unit, the WheelPAD unit is damaged or otherwise changed from its condition as of the date of the appraisal, excepting reasonable wear and tear, WheelPad L3C reserves the right to modify the price of the WheelPAD unit to account for such damage or change in condition.  Additional terms and conditions are available upon request.
